Meredith Blevins

About the author

Meredith's fantasy was to become a writer and run away with the Gypsies. Each came true. Seven of her books have been published by Macmillan. She has also shepherded manuscripts to publication, been a ghostwriter, and edited for three publishing houses. These days she loves giving writers a creative boost. A pep talk. Teaching classes. Passing along pro-writing skills. Cooking up a brainstorming-session with new writers. Meredith worked in a Quaker hospital as a creative arts therapist, wrote textbook articles, and, following a circuitous path, became a financial columnist. Next up, she wrote travel, twice winning the gold Magellan award for best travel site and content. With a push from her family and beautiful husband, writer Win Blevins, she made the switch from non-fiction to fiction. Her first novel, The Hummingbird Wizard, garnered praise from Tony Hillerman, Jonathan Kellerman, Clive Cussler, Loren Estelmen, and Tim Sandlin. A new series is in the works. Meredith and Win like to hang out, hold hands, tell stories, laugh with pals, get wild in the southwest, hug the kids, eat, and make music.
