George Collingwood

Hello, I'm George Collingwood, children's author, living in Worcestershire, England. I was born in the nineteen sixties in a Northern town. I remember tin baths in front of the fire and watching Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell play Doctor Who on a black and white telly. When I was twenty four I moved South. My cats are Pink, Bamber and Alleycat. Teddybear cat doesn't show his face much any more, but he'll probably come back eventually. The Ginge Club started when I bought an old, interesting house on Six Foot Way, in the Five Streets district of Dimchurch Spire. After I moved in, I realized that there was already a cat living in the house and this cat knew more about its secret places and weird ways than any other creature. That cat was Alleycat, and Alleycat's life and times have inspired the stories of the Ginge Club
