About the author

I've always been a writer: stories when I was a kid, plays for my cousins to perform, terrible adolescent poetry. During a checkered and wildly varying work life, I wrote speeches for politicians, newsletters and press releases for non-profit organizations, brochures and fact sheets for consulting clients. On vacations, I wrote memoir pieces, a number of which ended up published in anthologies and magazines. A few years ago, I began writing fiction (although writing for a politician is considered by some to fall in that category.) I started out writing mysteries but the characters wanted their love stories told instead. So the "Second Chances" series, published by Crimson Romance, was born. In each of the books, one (sometimes both) of the lovers needs a second try at the brass ring to find happily-ever-after, as many of us--including me--do. A second six-book series for Crimson followed. The "Holiday for Romance" series begins with a July Fourth story and continues with stories centered on Halloween, Hanukkah/Christmas, New Year's Eve, birthdays and Thanksgiving. Like the first series, the books are, by and large, set in my beloved Pacific Northwest although one is set in Philly, where I grew up. In 2016 came three stand-alone stories from different publishers—"The Professor's Secret," "Out of the Game" and "How Scarlett Found Her Merry Christmas"—and a series of boxed sets of some of my backlist. What's in store for 2017? I'm working on a three-book series, a memoir and a woman's fiction story which may or may not be a mystery or, who knows, another romance. Stay tuned.
