I was born in Los Angeles, California, and have lived in several cities but call Tennessee my home. I live just outside of Nashville in Brentwood with my wife, Sonja, and grew up just down the road in Franklin. My first book, Hometown Prophet, is set in my hometown and was originally born out of a sense of frustration at the way Christianity was being hijacked by politicians. My second book, Perpetual Motion, follows a "cynical" private eye who is trying to find the inventor of a perpetual motion machine. A few years ago, I had a good friend who introduced me to someone who claimed to have actually invented a perpetual motion machine - and was quite convincing. While there is a message about investing in our energy future, I hope the book is just a fun ride.
