My writing career began at age 5. I recall sitting at my father's typewriter, writing an action-packed news story about a truck crashing into a building. Fire! Screams! Panic in the streets! The story was notable for two reasons. First, this was before I learned to read and write, so my "story" must have consisted entirely of random letters and punctuation marks. Who cares? Don Flood lives in Delaware with his wife Helen. They have one son.
