Bacil Donovan Warren is the son of a U. S. Army musician and later Bandmaster father, and a music teacher mother, and grew up in California, Arizona, Georgia, and in Seoul, South Korea.

He was stationed as an M1 Tank Crewman in both Germany and Texas. While serving with the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment in Texas, he deployed for the 1991 Persian Gulf War. His unit was part of the massive "left hook" and traveled all the way to the ar Rymaylah oil fields.

After returning from the Gulf, Donovan was honorably discharged from the Army and attended the University of Arizona. He worked in IT before starting with a private ambulance company, first as an EMT-Basic and, from 2008-2014, as an EMT-Paramedic. When not writing, he now helps run a small business teaching CPR and other American Heart Association courses.

Donovan currently lives in Tucson, AZ, and enjoys reading Fantasy and Sci-Fi, as well as military fiction and non-fiction.
