I've always been surrounded by books, my house back in Belgium was stacked with them. When I write, I want to describe the scene in front of me, like a movie, and I want the reader to see and feel the same emotions I'm going through. Music inspires me a lot, I use it to get even deeper, to dig furthermore into the book.
From childhood I've always traveled a lot. Even now with my husband, I continue to explore new countries and earth's nature.
I have worked in the Middle East during the eighties, and got to know a lot of military soldiers, got invited to several embassy parties, desert bbq's and met some dodgy people . All these experiences are pretty helpful in my writing. I get a lot of military advice on weapons, intel and war strategy etc.. from the 'real' guys. And a lot of research goes into my work.
