About the author

Lisa Luciano’s work as a director/producer in television received national recognition for excellence in educational programming. She is the author of a nonfiction book about using technology in the classroom and has had a documentary script produced. Her nonfiction pieces have won numerous awards, and she has worked as a investigative reporter for the New York Times, exposing corruption and abuse in sports. The Chosen Ones is her first novel and has been recognized as a Notable Book in the Shelf Unbound Indie Best Award Competition, it was a finalist in the American Book Fest contest, a Reader's Favorite Book Award winner and the winner in the Sports Fiction category of the New York City Big Book Competition. Her non-fiction book, Generation LOST - Learning, Leveraging and Living Lessons For a Successful Life, chronicles her four decades as a teacher and offers her point of view about how parenting, children, and the online world has changed... and the dangers we now face as a society. Her most recent offering was as a contributor to The Parenting Owner's Manual: The A to Zs of raising a happy, healthy family from 34 experts from around the world. She taught English Language Arts, Technology, and Digital Literacy to students in grades 6-12 for 40 years and worked as a Library Media Specialist. Her company, Lisa Luciano Media, offers courses in online safety for all ages based on her ground-breaking program. In her spare time, she is a 4th degree black belt Tae Kwon Do master/instructor and also has a black belt in Hapkido.
