About the author

Hello and Welcome to Rob Mackintosh's Amazon Author Page. Rob was educated at Oxford University, where he read for a BA and an MA in Theology. After ministering in a Cambridge parish for twelve years, Rob launched a Leadership Institute for Clergy in England, and later served in Canterbury Diocese as Director of Ministry & Training. Rob published "Augustine of Canterbury: Leadership, Mission and Legacy", a historical text on the Pope and St Augustine's mission to Kent in late sixth-century. Now retired, Rob is a full-time author preparing to publish his second and third historical novel under the Series Title, A Legend of the English. The Series ranges widely, from Rome to the three Kingdoms of Francia and the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Cantia. The Legend Series is set in the context of historical events: capture and slavery, trials at sea, wars, betrayal, plague, corruption, dissent within the Church, love and romance found and lost, journeying through powerful Frankish Kingdoms, war and skirmishes, the reception given to the Pope's mission within the Saxon Kingdom, and the aftermath, facing disaster and retreat. An accomplished storyteller, Rob has already launched the first novel in his historical novel series under the title, Scavengers from the Sea, set in the late sixth century.
