It was revised August of 2019 and the updated copy of the book is now available. This young adult fantasy novel is set in 16th century England and grapples with family relationships and the need for friendship. While there is plenty of action and adventure, the story provides both moral and spiritual insights. Here is what reviewers are saying about Indebted: A clear-cut prose in the timeline of the princess suits this character-driven tale as Wren struggles with the memories of her cynical mother and her estranged father. The plot has a good twist, and the sketches serve wonderfully as illustrations for Indebted. At its heart, Indebted is about parental issues, love, confidence, inner strength, friendship, greed, forgiveness, and-to a great extent-faith. - Lit Amri Indebted is a wonderful fantasy story that describes the struggles of a young woman who wants to know love and have a good life. It deals with tough situations that many readers can relate to and has strong religious themes that are suitable for the time period it was written in, showing how Wren struggles to accept and navigate her circumstances. The story has an added bonus of actual drawings within the story to aid the visualization of events. - Sierra Edelsen (Readers' Favorite) For most princesses, life is a fairytale. Wren’s entire life is about to change, all thanks to a poster, some pants, and a carefully guarded secret... This is a delightful fantasy read that takes you on a wild ride from start to finish. From spunky, rebellious princesses to brave knights to terrifying dragons, with just a dash of dark magic and mayhem, a world fascinating to explore. The strong Christian themes of redemption are sure to make this novel a hit. - Sarah Westmoreland (Five-Star Reviewer) When she’s not writing, Charmayne is doing something fun outside like skiing or teaching her six-year-old niece how to play tennis. She also helps her husband, John, manage their small company which performs quality assurance testing on fuels. Charmayne runs counseling groups for adults and a therapeutic photography group for teens. She and John live in Colorado with their two Chihuahuas, Pepe and Frida. Show Less
