Steve Wilmot

About the author

Steve Wilmot is a lover of Jesus with a passion for small groups and discipleship. He writes to inspire and encourage other Jesus-followers on their spiritual journey. A journey that is a struggle sometimes. His books send a clear message it’s worth it to fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish the race. There are things that matter and things that don’t—and a relationship with Jesus matters most. He married his college sweetheart, Becki, in 1974. Their four grown children and eight grandchildren keep them busy and fill them with joy. Steve retired from the United States Postal Service in 2017 after 25 years as a rural mail carrier. He was also a pastor for 45 years. No longer a bi-vocational pastor, Steve focuses his energies on family, building believers through small group involvement, and writing books, devotionals, curriculum and blog posts. His weekly column, “Pastor’s Ponderings,” has been printed in newspapers for over a decade. In his spare time, Steve loves reading, gardening and swinging on his porch swing. He also enjoys speaking from God’s Word and sharing his spiritual journey at churches and conferences.
