In examining a list of my 10 books I note four are written from first person points of view and the other six contain numerous stories in that style. Naturally, I’m not writing about myself. I’m examining the lives of far more intriguing people, like those who started World War II or suffered as a result, great painters, exceptional athletes, outrageous politicians, victims of human trafficking, and many fictional characters who struggle in romance and finance and battle addictions and other demons. I write what they’re really like and what they want others to believe. I let them invite me places I can’t visit until I portray them in writing.
