I write fast-paced conspiracy thrillers designed for lovers of David Baldacci, Lee Child, Tom Clancy, Nelson DeMille, Vince Flynn, Robert Ludlum, Daniel Silva, or Brad Thor. My tagline summarizes my writing in a sentence: Devious Devices, International Intrigue, and the Deadly Mistake of Messing with the Wrong Guy.
My thrillers draw from an imagination that’s regularly fed raw meat, and a career that includes service in Soviet Counterintelligence with the Green Berets, a decade working out of Moscow and Brussels, and years running medical technology companies from Silicon Valley. The plots are tight and full of twists, but tie everything up neatly while you struggle to catch your breath at the end.
In planning my novels, I begin by dreaming up a plausible invention, typically something that could be classified as a medical device, and then I put it into corrupt hands. Generally this villain is someone attempting to better his career while influencing geopolitics. I tell the story both from his point of view, and from that of a couple victims. Those emerging heroes are never the first to suffer, but inevitably they are the last.
