The first time I wrote creatively after college - a screenplay - it was to prove to myself that I could. However, what I didn't know at the time was that by doing so I had infected myself with the incurable desire to tell stories... all the time!
In the years that passed, I wrote short stories, screenplays, and novels hoping to bring something new and different to my readers. I never railroad tracked myself into a specific genre and wrote fantasy, romantic comedy, action, thriller, and creative non-fiction pieces. Luckily, because authors do need luck and a lot of it, I was fortunate to have my screenplays noticed by some heavy hitters in the industry and today am hoping to see one of them produced into a major motion picture.
Generally speaking, I find it easier to first write the screenplay for my stories and then expand them into novels. A screenplay, if you please, is like a detailed outline focusing on dialogue and action. However, I don't always follow that script!
If you enjoy a good book, something that will hook you from page one and provide layers of thought, then check out some of my novels. Thank you.
