I like to write about interesting characters in interesting settings; also love writing dialogue and description. I've lived in NYC, California, Florida and Thailand. I was a lawyer for over thirty years and am now a full-time fiction writer. It all shows up in my work. One of these days I will achieve my dreams of perfecting my command of Thai and playing guitar.
As a reader and a writer I am big on e books; I read a few a week on my Kindle, mostly from the Hillsborough County Library in Tampa, and encourage my own readers to buy the e book version as they are cheaper, more convenient and far better for the environment.
I love writing short stories and regularly post them on my blog, www.stephenshaiken.com
I really love feedback, so please feel free to leave comments and reviews or to contact me any time.
